Company’s global headcount grew by 8.5 percent in 2016, largest in three years
Deloitte Middle East has strengthened its executive team in the region by appointing 35 new partners, directors and principals, it said this week.
Among the new appointments was that of Wayne Thomas, who was named the new managing partner for Deloitte Financial Advisory in the Middle East, last week.
He replaces outgoing managing partner Humphry Hatton, who has moved on to lead the Deloitte Turkey firm.
Following a staff conference this week, the Big Four professional services firm announced that during the 2016 financial year, it added 700 new staff to its payroll across all geographic regions and total global headcount grew by 8.5 percent, the largest increase of the past three years.
Deloitte Global CEO Punit Renjen termed the Middle East as a “critical part of Deloitte’s network and its growth reflects the investments they are making to deliver innovative solutions that help clients succeed not only within this region but around the world.”For all the latest banking and finance news from the UAE and Gulf countries, follow us on Twitter and Linkedin, like us on Facebook and subscribe to our YouTube page, which is updated daily.
