Developer GHC launches Al Reem Island project

General Housing Company (GHC) has announced the launch of Skygardens, a project that will provide 271 apartments located on Abu Dhabi’s Al Reem Island.

The prime waterfront plot overlooks Al Maryah Island, with one-bed apartments already sold out in Phase 1, GHC said in a statement.

Prices for the remaining units start at AED1,765,041 ($479,172) for the two-beds and from AED2,251,327 for the 3+1-beds, the company added.

With current projects ongoing in Morocco, Iraq and Lebanon, Lebanon-based GHC took ownership of the Skygardens development in its very early stages with a firm plan to complete by mid 2016.

Vanessa Bou Jaoude, GHC’s operations manager, said: “We are immensely proud of Skygardens as a development, I am sure it will become an iconic building in the residential field demonstrating cutting-edge design in this up and coming area.

"We are making significant progress with the ongoing construction and Skygardens is set for completion mid 2016.”
