DFC appoints Hyperlink for Oracle ERP project

Dubai Refreshment Company is embarking on an Oracle enterprise resource planning (ERP) project to accelerate the delivery of information throughout its business.

Dubai Refreshment Company (DFC) is embarking on a comprehensive enterprise resource planning (ERP) project to accelerate the delivery of information throughout its business. The company, which bottles Pepsi in Dubai, will be deploying Oracle 11i E-business Suite.“The modern trend of running businesses entirely through the web is providing an added competitive edge to companies that have adopted advanced and leading edge applications,” says Alan Salem, general manager, DFC. “As the bottler for Pepsi, Dubai Refreshments has faced major challenges [in swiftly accessing] reliable information. There was a critical need to integrate every area of the company’s operations using web-based systems, to help make informed decisions based on shared information across the enterprise.”DFC has appointed Hyerlink to act to implement Oracle Financials, Distribution, Enterprise Asset Management (eAM), Discrete Manufacturing and HR modules. The systems integrator will also provide consultancy services.“DRC required a technology integrator who had both the expertise to carry out such a project and also relevant knowledge of our line of business,” comments G.V.Rao, IT manager, DFC.“We are positive that Hyperlink will facilitate DRC to migrate to web-based systems efficiently and equip us with the right tools that will help us achieve our objectives,” he adds.The Oracle implementation will create a single definition of employees, customers, suppliers and products enabling simultaneous availability of data across the enterprise. Hyperlink will also integrate the Oracle modules to the Pepsi Sales and Distribution System and Pepsi Time and Attendance System.“Reducing costs and increasing profitability is the goal of every organisation. However, the difference lies in how each company goes about the business of achieving this goal,” says Dani Diab, executive vice president and general manager of Hyperlink.“Hyperlink firmly believe that real-time information sharing across the enterprises is the most effective solution to fast-track business growth,” he adds.
