April 12 event, `Making Ideas Grow – The Regional Experience’ will aim to give budding New Economy entrepreneurs a big dose of encouragement.

Dubai Ideas Oasis aims to give New Economy entrepreneurs an encouraging slap on the back at a seminar on April 12.The event, ‘Making Ideas Grow – The Regional Experience’ , is designed to give these entrepreneurs advice and guidance on how transform their e-business ideas into the next big thing. The event will feature speakers from dot-coms like ihilal.com; tejari.com; arabia.com, and ajeeb.com, as well as ‘enablers’ such as Accenture, Dubai Ideas Oasis and Dubai Ideas Accelerator. The presence of keynote speakers will offer delegates an insight into the experience of others that have gone before them. “We are in the business of helping nurture, develop and incubate great e-business ideas,” said Avi Bhojani, chief executive officer and managing partner, Dubai Ideas Oasis. “We want to use the expertise of our team and that of successful regional e-businesses to create an environment where other entrepreneurs believe they can build success.”Dubai Ideas Oasis was created in November 2000 to provide assistance to startup companies. This includes help in the areas of finance, technology and marketing. Dubai Ideas Accelerator is a related project modelled along the lines of US ‘incubators’ such as Idealab.
