DLJdirect-eUnion expands customer interfaces

E-broker confirms Arabisation of portal, and development of WAP version that will include ability to trade equities from mobile phones.

DLJdirect-eUnion is close to delivering on the localisation that it promised when interviewed by Arabian Business.com magazine in July.

The recent winner of the prestigious Visa/Arabian Business.com award for Best Financial Services Site is testing a WAP version of its service, and confirmed that it is in the process of putting an Arabic front end on dljdirect-eunion.com.

The company's president, Ali Zahed, said that Arabisation is being done, "by popular demand", adding that the process is quite time consuming.

The WAP version of the service will enable investors to actually buy and sell equities from their mobile phones, as well as calling up company information and quotes. The launch is currently scheduled for the start of next year.
