DME approves 28 members

Mercantile Exchange announces 17 off-floor members and 11 clearing members prior to May 1 launch.

The Dubai Mercantile Exchange (DME) approved in principle 28 new members, with further applications being processed. Of the new members 17 are off-floor and 11 are clearing members. Applicants are from North America and Europe as well as the MENASA region. DME has further announced that, due to high demand the price of the remaining off-floor memberships will be increased after the May 1 launch.

"The success of our Market Maker programme and the high level of interest in membership are further demonstrations of the global market's growing support for the DME. We look forward to delivering outstanding service and excellent benefits to our members throughout the world," said DME CEO Gary King.
