DMG World Media cancels Big 5 Exteriors trade show

Trade show organisers DMG World Media has announced it will not go ahead with this year's planned inaugural edition of Big 5 Exteriors.

Trade show organisers DMG World Media has announced it will not go ahead with this year's planned inaugural edition of Big 5 Exteriors.

The show, a companion event to the Big 5 construction show, was originally scheduled to take place in June this year in Dubai.

DMG said it plans instead to run the show as part of the main Big 5 exhibition when it moves to its new larger premises in Jebel Ali Airport City in 2010.

"Despite keen interest and support for this new sector launch, DMG World Media has made a strategic decision to incorporate it as part of the Big 5 Exhibition at Dubai Exhibition City (DEC) in 2010 when more space is available," said the organisers.

From 2010, the Big 5 show is set to move to the new Dubai Exhibition City, at the Jebel Ali Airport City, located 40 kilometres south west from Dubai.

As well as the Big 5 construction trade show, the Big 5 brand also includes Big 5 PMV (Plant, Machinery and Vehicles).
