Germany-based supplier of door systems, Dorma, through its distributor, Häfele, has received an order worth US $6.5 million (AED23.8 million) to supply products for the Burj Dubai.

Dorma will have to supply a range of items including door closers, panic exit devices and lever handles for the skyscraper, which is now under construction.

“At over 700m, Burj Dubai will not only be the tallest building in the world but also one of the biggest projects in Dorma’s history,” said Michael Schädlich, CEO, Dorma.

“As negotiations are ongoing with respect to other areas of the building, we hope that Dorma will be able to win a number of further contracts,” added Schädlich.
