du appoints new SME marketing chief

Aiming to further boost SME innovation across the emirate, du has appointed a season executive to join its Dubai-based SME Marketing team.

As a new Vice President of SME Marketing, Clinton Haswell, who is joining du from Vodafone Group in London, will be devising multi-phased SME strategies designed for the UAE’s thriving SME sector.

His responsibilities will include delivering cutting-edge solutions to business customers, driving regional SME targets, and expanding du’s SME portfolio.

Speaking about his new role, Haswell said: “My goals will be to ensure that du continues to gain significant traction in the SME market and further strengthens its customer loyalty.

“After all, our long-term objective is to become the telecom partner of choice for all SMEs in the UAE.”

Haswell’s appointment reflects the company’s mission to cater for the UAE’s SME market which accounts for 95 percent of all firms and contributes to around 40 percent of the city’s GDP.
