Sunil Vaswani is one of the largest investors on the African continent, and promotes opportunities for other GCC-based businesses keen to tap into Africa. The London-educated businessman was born in Jaipur, India in 1963, but grew up in Nigeria. Those African roots have helped his business, Stallion Group, cement interests in West Africa, particularly in Nigeria, where it owns a network of cold storage facilities and automobile distribution plants and showrooms.
His company manages brands including Honda, Hyundai, Porsche, Volkswagen, Audi, Skoda, Mahindra and Ashok Leyland across the region, and sells key products, such as rice and building materials. It has operations in industries as diverse as rice milling, plastics, vehicle assembly and shipping.
