Dubai, Abu Dhabi may see rains over couple of days

Temperatures over the extended holidays likely to be pleasant - Dubai Met office.

Dubai may see rainy spells over the next couple of days with a chance of thunderstorm in Abu Dhabi, according to a report.

The Dubai Meteorological Office has said that the temperatures over the extended holidays of Eid Al Adha and the UAE’ National Day is likely to be pleasant, the Gulf News daily reported on Saturday.

Though conditions are expected to remain warm on Saturday, a spell of rain over the next couple of days is likely to clear with cool, breezy and fine weather on Tuesday and Wednesday, the UAE-based daily added.

Abu Dhabi may see thunderstorm and scattered showers on Saturday Gulf News added.

"The first weather system associated with an upper trough in the westerly wind flow is already affecting Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Iran with rain and cloud affecting those areas.

"The weather [pattern] will slowly move down the Gulf introducing fresh-to-strong north-westerly Shamal winds and the chance of some showers in Dubai on Sunday and Monday," the daily quoted a release from the Met office.
