Shift Car Rental, a part of Dubai's AW Rostamani Group, has announced major expansion plans over the next five years with an investment of AED400 million ($108.8 million).

The company said the funds will help double the size of its fleet and will also finance its expansion across the UAE through multiple fully-serviced rental counters.

The company also plans to relocate to a new facility at Al Quoz which will be managed by Arabian Automobiles.

"We constantly evaluate our customer's needs to make targeted investments. Our vision for the year 2020 is to be the number one car rental company in the UAE in terms of quality and service."

Shift Car Rental currently has over 650 clients and a fleet of over 5,000 vehicles.

It aims to increase their fleet to over 10,000 cars by 2020 and plans to move to its new facility at Al Quoz in the final quarter of this year.

Shift Car Rental division is a part of the AW Rostamani Group Company, the authorised agents for Nissan, Infiniti and Renault.
