Dubai Chamber to host women-only entrepreneur training course

A women-only entrepreneurship course for female entrepreneurs eager to take their business to the next level will kick off on Monday, 11 January, at the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Mompreneur Rising in 2016 is an eight-week programme developed by Mona Tavassoli, founder of Mompreneurs Middle East, a business to business (B2B) platform to support female entrepreneurs in the Middle East.

It was previously known as Entrepreneur Rising programme. In addition to re-branding, this year’s training is different in that is a women-only course.

The course offers eight sessions covering the most important aspects of running a business, which include Your current Business Model Canvas, Future Business Model Canvas, Traditional Marketing, Digital Marketing, Finance, Fund-Raising, Presentation Skills, and more.

The participants will also get a number of one-on-one coaching sessions with mentors and facilitators to discuss their ideas in more details.

The course will end with a pitch competition on Saturday, 12 March, where each of the female entrepreneurs will be invited to present their ideas in less than two minutes to a group of distinguished investors, partners and clients.

By joining the course, the entrepreneurial ladies will also become a part of Mompreneur Rising Alumni and get access to the group’s quarterly meetings.

Sahar Riad, founder of The Brain Workshop, who participated in one of the previously organised courses, said: "I appreciated the small group setting, Advisory sessions/one-one are a great idea for individualized questions, It covered all aspects of business.

“The passion and care of how it was organised came through.”

This year’s class is limited to 15 to 20 ladies.
