Dubai developer to begin Moroccan waterfront project

Mourjan Marinas IGY will partner with Libra Capital for luxury development.

Dubai marina developer Mourjan Marinas IGY and Moroccan investment firm Libra Capital will begin development of a new waterfront project in the south west of Morocco.

The mixed use luxury development will also have hotels, golf courses and a recreational marina, a statement by the Dubai firm said on Tuesday.

Plans also include a “substantial number” of berths for megayachts, the developer said.

Last month, Mourjan announced it had signed a deal to build a 300-yacht project in Russia.

The firm signed agreement with Sochi Grand Marina, part of leading Russian shipping company, Sovcomflot, which will see it develop the marina as part of a new mixed use development at Sochi, which will help the Black Sea port prepare for its role as host city of the 2014 Winter Olympics.
