Motorist receives 120 black points after he was caught driving a pick-up truck on two wheels
A Dubai driver had his driving licence suspended and received 120 black points after he was caught driving a pick-up truck on two wheels.
The man’s antics were caught on video and a small clip has been posted on Dubai Police’s Instagram account.
Speaking to Gulf News, Colonel Saif Muhair Al Mazroui, Director of Dubai Traffic Police, said the man was driving in a manner that endangered other road users in Al Marmoom and Al Awir.
Col Al Mazroui the man was fined for seven infringements, and was fined twice for each one because he was seen breaking the law twice.
Among the offences that the man was fined for were driving recklessly, driving a vehicle without number plates, driving in a way that is dangerous to the public, modifying the vehicle’s engine without permission, driving a noisy vehicle, exceeding the permitted level of car window tinting, and fleeing from a traffic policeman.
“No one is above the law, and respecting the law is part of a person’s respect for himself and the other road users.” Col Al Mazroui said.
