Dubai eGovernment to present all its eServices

26 government departments and ministries will take part in GITEX 2008

Twenty six government departments and ministries will take part in GITEX 2008 to discuss and present a simulation of all the eServices provided through the Dubai eGovernment portal.

“In less than seven years after incorporation, Dubai eGovernment has been successful in accelerating Dubai's transformation to a digital society, in line with the vision of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai,” commented Salem Al Shair, eServices director at Dubai eGovernment.

The government entities that will join Dubai eGovernment at GITEX 2008 include Dubai Civil Aviation, Dubai Tourism and Commerce Marketing, Dubai Economic Department, Roads & Transport Authority, Tanmia, Dubai Police, Dubai Courts, Dubai Customs, Dubai Municipality and many more.

Dubai eGovernment will also promote their synergistic services such as the cash-less ePay solution, AskDubai feedback system, mDubai mobile communication solution, and its eLearn training portal that offers more than 3,000 bilingual Arabic and English online training courses.

“We look forward to another highly fruitful edition of GITEX as we work closely with other government entities in Dubai to take the emirate’s eServices framework to a higher level of efficiency and excellence, with the overriding goal of creating a knowledge-based economy,” Al Shair added.
