Dubai FDI and AstroLabs partner to enhance start-up investing

Technology entrepreneurs in the region will enjoy a new support platform after the Dubai Investment Development Agency (Dubai FDI) and AstroLabs signed a partnership agreement.

The partnership will see the Dubai FDI, an agency of the Department of Economic Development (DED), and AstroLabs, a member of the global Tech Hub network of ‘Google for Entrepreneurs’ and the only Google-partnered hub in the Middle East, collaborate and exchange information on areas of mutual interest.

These areas of cooperation include reaching out to potential investors and global technology companies considering expansion to Dubai.

While Dubai FDI will connect AstroLabs to companies interested in being part of the innovation ecosystem the UAE, AstroLabs will serve as a growth platform for technology companies looking to set up in Dubai with support from Dubai FDI.

Commenting on the occasion, Fahad Al Gergawi, CEO of Dubai FDI, said: “The partnership with AstroLabs demonstrates the current emphasis of Dubai’s outreach initiatives on attracting cutting edge technology and knowledge in critical sectors.
