Jebel Ali Free Zone announced new application to streamline e-services
Jebel Ali Free Zone is set to release a new mobile application to help streamline its electronic services.
The app is due to be launched later this month, and aims to cater for both existing and non-existing JAFZA customers.
Currently awaiting approval for global Apple, Android and Blackberry stores, the app will give non-existing customers access to information on services, investor guides to the UAE, enquiry forms to start a company within the free zone, and general information about JAFA and Dubai.
The free zone’s current customer base of more than 7,000 large, medium and small business will be able to use company and employee services, including visa applications, licence renewals, official letters, and making payments.
Senior vice-president – information technology at JAFZA, Saji Matthew, explained at the launch of the app that the company received 20,000 to 25,000 online transactions per month, with 92 percent of transactions starting online.
