An annual investment meeting in Dubai will aim to address trends and new forms of FDI, investment policies and strategies of new global players.
A number of international investors, finance experts and professionals are due to gather in Dubai between 11 and 13 April, 2016, for an annual meeting of investors.
The sixth Annual Investment Meeting 2016 (AIM), an initiative of the UAE Ministry of Economy, will take place at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Often considered as the region’s first emerging markets FDI platform, AIM is held under the patronage of HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.
The theme of this year’s event is “The New World of FDI, Key Features, and Best Practices.”
Earlier this month, a high-level delegation of AIM 2016 visited a number of countries in Africa and Latin America to promote the event to international participants.
Aiming to strengthen the African participation in the forthcoming edition of the event, the delegation visited Accra in Ghana, the Ouagadougou in Burkina Faso, Addis Ababa in Ethiopia, in addition to the Abidjan in Ivory Coast.
Africa is the fastest growing FDI market in the world, as it witnessed 19-fold increase between 1990s and 2013, from $3 billion to $57 billion, according to Afrikaarrangement.com.
The next edition of AIM will offer to participants an opportunity to visit local companies, attend B2B meetings and exhibitions of projects and services.
