The Middle East Marketing and Branding ROI Forum, has been confirmed for March 12 and 13, 2007, at Dubai's Radisson SAS hotel. The event, which will feature guest speakers including Taoufic Mathlouthi, chairman of Mecca Cola, and BV Pradeep, vice president, consumer insight and marketing, Unilever, is aimed at companies in the region who are concerned about branding and marketing issues and want to learn more.

Marcus Evans, the event's organiser, introduced the forum in response to popular demand for such an event, according to Loubna Aghzafi, production director for the Middle East Division of the company. "We have done similar events around the world in Europe, Asia, Africa and the USA, and we have been told by quite a lot of practitioners in the market that marketing and branding is quite an important aspect of business for Middle East companies," she told

"After some research with the end users we have decided to concentrate on the return on investment as far as case studies and branding is concerned. We wanted to meet the needs of the client."

The forum will focus on issues including how to get a marketing budget approved from a board, how to maximise marketing and branding budgets, and return on investment measurements, Aghzafi added. Representatives from Al Jazeera Network, Yahoo, LG Electronics and other companies will also speak and hold workshops at the event.
