Dubai Police question Burj Khalifa iPhone 7 drop test blogger

Dubai Police has questioned the Ukrainian tech vlogger, who test dropped the iPhone 7 from 148th floor of Burj Khalifa.

An unnamed senior police official told Khaleej Times, “The act could have endangered people who were walking below the building.”

The video blogger has been made to sign an undertaking that he would not be repeating any such incidents that endanger his or lives of others and he would be liable to penalty or punishment if he repeats such acts.

Though the police did not receive any formal complaint about the video, it investigated the incident due to its online popularity.

The blogger, under the username ‘TechRax’, had uploaded the video on YouTube last week ad was unable to track it after it crashed on the ground from a height of 2,717 feet.

Major-General Khalil Ibrahim Al Mansouri, Assistant Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police for Criminal Investigation, told the newspaper said that Dubai buildings incorporate all safety measures, but they apprehend people who are fond of taking daring selfies or videos from dangerous positions on rooftops or the higher floors.
