Developer says it has appointed Condor Bulding Contracting for Dubailand community facilities
Dubai Properties (DP), a member of Dubai Properties Group, has announced the appointment of Condor Building Contracting to develop a 20,000 sq m retail and leisure community centre in its Mudon project located in Dubailand.
The centre will consist a grocery, a nursery and 14 leasable retail units including a café and family restaurant with outdoor seating, kiosks and a medical clinic all of which are designed to accommodate the needs of Mudon residents, the company said
It added that the new facility will also include various outdoor facilities such as a swimming pool, two tennis courts, a children's playground, and parking space for visitors.
The project is planned for completion by early 2015.
Last year, Dubai Properties Group announced that townhouses at its Mudon development in Dubai were set to be handed over to customers starting in June.
The master developer of Business Bay, Dubailand and JBR said that "significant progress" has been made on the 348 townhouses with properties at 55 percent completion and all main roads finished.
Earlier this month, Dubai Properties Group (DPG), the property development arm of Dubai Holding, said its transition into a holding company with three subsidiaries as part of a new vision and strategy.
The new units will be responsible for project development, portfolio management and asset management, the company said.
The new business strategy was formally approved by the DPG board of directors, who emphasised its importance for the group's growth and ability to capture current market opportunities.
