Exec says company has received strong interest from buyers for properties in Manazel AlKhor project
Real estate developer Dubai Properties (DP) has announced that it is "ahead of schedule" in the early stages of construction of Manazel AlKhor which forms part of its Culture Village project.
The developer said in a statement that it has been working closely with its consultants WSP and engineering contractors, Sun Engineering to complete the majority of the substructure phase.
It said the construction of the superstructure will be progressing once the remainder of the excavation of the site is wrapped up. Some of the next steps will include the laying of the first block (the parking block).
Initially announced in October, Manazel AlKhor offers three and four bedroom luxury apartments and completion is slated for mid-2016.
Manazel AlKhor will join a number of other luxury residential and hospitality projects under construction by third party developers in Culture Village, including the luxurious six-star Palazzo Versace Hotel and D1 Residential Tower.
Commenting on the progress, Mohammed Al Habbai, chief officer of urban planning and infrastructure at DPG, said: "Manazel AlKhor will be a unique luxury development. We are ahead of schedule according to the approved dates, and are confident we will continue making headway at this current rate.
"Manazel AlKhor has received strong interest from buyers so far and we look forward to delivering this world-class development to them."
Located at Culture Village on the banks of Dubai Creek, Manazel AlKhor has a traditional Emirati theme, and features local architecture, with shared amenities including a gym, pool.
Culture Village will be the city's first creek-side development with residential, commercial, retail, entertainment and cultural components.
On completion, Manazel AlKhor investors will be able to enjoy Culture Village's retail, entertainment and cultural offerings, including 3.8 km of promenade walkways and landscaped features, and mixed use complex overlooking the internal canal, and a centrally located marina.
