Sheikh Mohammed satisfied with preparation for mega horse racing event.
Dubai's ruler inspectedon Thursday theMeydan premises, which are ready for the 15th edition of Dubai World Cup for Horse Race to be held on Saturday.
Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum inspected the major platform, which is modern and the largest in the world, according to a newswire WAM report.
Sheikh Mohammed ensured the readiness of the platform to receive about 70, 000 fans, who will attend the most expensive and well known event whose financial prizes touch $10m, WAM said.
He also inspected Meydan museum, where he was briefed about the antiquities.
Sheikh Mohammed expressed his satisfaction about the preparation for the event, which is expected to draw guests from worldwide. He thanked the board of meydan city and employees for their feat.
He was accompanied by HE Saeed Humaid Al Tayer, Board Chairman of Meydan and senior officials, according to WAM.
Nestling four kilometres from the mouth of Dubai Creek, Meydan City is intended to be meeting place created as an interconnected cityscape of four distinct districts, where the worlds of business, sports and elegant living would intertwine to enhance, encourage and benefit each other, WAM added.
