Dubai-based Drake & Scull International on Wednesday announced that its Oman unit has signed four major MEP contracts worth a total value of AED168 million ($45.7 million) in the sultanate.
The new deals mean the company has secure project awards totalling AED4.6 billion so far in 2014, the company said in a statement.
Under the terms of the first agreement, Drake & Scull Engineering (DSE) Oman will provide MEP services for a government facility in Al Ghubrah, Muscat.
The company said that it has commenced work on the site, which is scheduled for completion in 2015.
DSE Oman will also undertake complete MEP works for a government complex in Nizwa. The project is spread over an area of 36,452 square metres, encompassing residential and essential services facilities. The project is scheduled for completion in 2016.
In addition, DSE Oman will deliver MEP services for an unnamed leisure and tourism project in the sultanate. DSE will install essential services for the iconic landmark in Muscat.
The fourth contract will see DSE Oman extend its MEP services for upgrading core systems at a major oil refinery.
