A subsidiary of Dubai's Drake & Scull International has won a 198 million dirham ($53.91 million) engineering contract in the emirate, the parent firm said on Wednesday.

Drake & Scull Engineering will provide mechanical, electrical and plumbing services for an under-construction hotel and apartment complex, according to a statement to Dubai's bourse.

Khaldoun Tabari, CEO and vice
chairman of DSI, said: “The prominent hotel project award is of great
significance to the DSI Group as it gives us a promising start to 2015. We are

trust shown to Drake & Scull by prominent clients over the years for the
