Dubai's first pet hotel to open in March

Hotel exclusively for dogs and cats includes grooming rooms and playgrounds

Dubai's first pet hotel to open in March

A hotel exclusively for dogs and cats is due to open in Dubai in March, Dubai Municipality has announced.

The AED54.1m ($14.7m) facility in Al Warsan also includes a Birds and Pets Market three times the size of the existing animal markets in the emirate.

To open in time for the popular summer holiday period, the hotel will be spread across 835 square metres and include accommodation for up to 50 pets. It had been scheduled to open last month.

The facilities also include grooming rooms, therapy sessions, laundry services and playgrounds, while vets will be on hand to look after the animals and owners can check-up on them via the internet.

It is believed to be the first hotel exclusively for dogs and cats.

Interesting, seems the animals life here is getting better. ;)

In the Western world it is called a 'kennel', but since it is Dubai there is an element of bling so it has a fancier name.

I love animals, and initially I thought the idea was ok. But then
when you think of people living in appalling conditions in labor camps , this hotel creates a stark contrast, and many questions should be asked .
