Dubai’s Gitex Shopper to go twice a year

Gitex Shopper, the Middle East’s largest consumer IT and electronics show held each year in Dubai, will be staged twice a year from next year, Dubai’s ruler ordered this week following a visit to the exhibition.

“Following the overwhelming public demand, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum ordered that the show be held twice a year to enable visitors to get acquainted with the latest innovations in the IT and electronics fields, the WAM news agency said.

Sheikh Mohammed toured the Gitex Shoppers, being held this week at the Dubai World Trade Centre. The exhibiting area of Gitex Shopper stretches on 35,000 square meters.
