The Al Wasl and Jumeirah Roads Project will see the four lanes along both roads made one-way, with traffic running in a clockwise direction.

Traffic will flow along Al Wasl Road in the direction of the Burj Al Arab hotel, while all traffic on Jumeirah Beach Road will flow in the direction of the 2nd of December Road. “The project aims at streamlining the traffic movement and making it friendlier to pedestrian traffic in both roads, besides enhancing the business activities at both roads,” the RTA said in a statement.

The meeting also addressed improvements to road exists around International City and the Route 2020 Project to extend the Red Line of the Dubai Metro from Nakheel Harbour & Towers Station to the Expo site. The 15km extension will see 11km of elevated track and 4 km underground.
