Muscat Grand Mall signs agreement with Dubai retail firm to open top brands in shopping centre expansion
Muscat Grand Mall has signed an agreement with Dubai-based Landmark Group for a number of flagship outlets to open in the shopping centre's new expansion.
The agreement will see Landmark Group opening outlets of brands including BabyShop, Splash, Lifestyle, Max, Shoexpress, Steve Madden and Carpisa, a statement said.
Hassan Jaboub, general manager of Tilal Development Company, said: "This is a very exciting time for us at Muscat Grand Mall. With the expansion of the Mall and added retail space as a result, MGM will draw new and internationally prominent flagship stores of the world's most renowned brands.
"We are confident that with the new brands that will be brought in by this partnership, not only will footfall grow but Muscat Grand Mall will truly become the nucleus of all events and activities within Oman."
He added: "The expansion will also have a positive impact on job creation. New brands entering the market and new stores opening translate to new employment opportunities for Omanis."
As well as additional retail space, the second phase of expansion at Muscat Grand Mall will also include doubling the parking area.
