E-shipping in the Middle East

Express company TNT is bring an e-shipping solution to the region with the launch of its iSolutions package, to provide more control and personalised services to customers

TNT is looking to push e-shipping services to the region, with the introduction of its iSolutions service. The service, which will be launched in Saudi Arabia in May, aims to provide customers with flexible and personalised express and logistics service via intranet or Internet.

The iSolutions package connects customers directly to the TNT global network, to offer a wide range of shipping services such as consignment management, price checking, document generation. A ‘shipping manager’ function allows greater control over the shipping process with status reports, collection alerts and other consignment functions. A fastshipper application allows customers to create templates to handle repeat consignments. The whole system will give customers greater flexibility, greater control and time-saving benefits, according to Cameron Grant, general manager of TNT Saudi Arabia.

“TNT facilitates borderless sourcing and selling, he said. “Companies want leading edge technology and e-commerce strategic support. We are certainly at the forefront of bringing state-of-the-art e-solutions to Saudi Arabia. And TNT leads the industry generally in electronic express and logistics solutions.”

“TNT integrates supply chain processes through leading e-commerce express and logistics solutions,” says Grant. “We make our customers’ businesses work better and demonstrate added value and customer satisfaction. We tailor our express, logistics and e-commerce solutions to ensure we add value – this is the way we build on, and strengthen, customer relationships.”
