The Big Bad Wolf Book Sale, also known as the World’s Biggest Book Sale, is returning to Dubai from October 10-20 following a successful debut in 2018.
Open 24 hours a day for 11 days, Dubai Studio City will once again be home to three million, new English-language books at discounts ranging from 50-80 percent off recommended retail prices.
“Our first chapter in Dubai was an instant hit and very well received by our audiences in the United Arab Emirates and across the Gulf Cooperation Council. We are returning this year to reinforce the culture of reading,” said Mohamed Al Aidaroos, managing partner of Ink Readable Books, the organiser of the event.
Andrew Yap, founder of the Big Bad Wolf Book Sale, said: “The importance of reading should not be underestimated and with three million books coming back to Dubai this year, we are confident that we have something for every type of reader... we aspire to create a platform that inspires people to achieve their dreams and empower them with knowledge by making books affordable and accessible to all.”
Last year's sale attracted more than 150,000 visitors.
Majed Al Suwaidi, managing director of Dubai Studio City and Dubai Production City, said: “Events such as these encourage the community, especially the youth, to develop the habit of reading, enabling them to explore diverse range of topics and learn more about the world’s cultures and human achievements."
