The two-week holiday was scheduled to start on March 29 next, until April 12 - a pilot programme for 'distance education' will now be implemented during the last 2 weeks
UAE’s Education Ministry announced that the spring holiday will start earlier, and all public and private schools and higher education institutions across the country will close for four weeks, starting Sunday.
The ministry said its proactive move is part of its preventive and precautionary measures aimed at containing the spread of coronavirus, Covid-19.

The two-week spring holiday was scheduled to start on March 29 next, until April 12, and a pilot programme for ‘distance education’ will now be implemented during the last weeks of the four-week break to ensure continuity and to avoid any impact on school days.

A pilot stage of this programme was launched on Monday this week for all government schools in the country, aimed at being implemented during times of natural crises and disasters.
During the four-week break, the ministry said it will conduct massive operations to sterilise school and university facilities and buses.
