Al Futtaim Engineering (Elevator Division) has won a US $4.36 million (AED16 million) contract to install the elevators in the Emirates Financial Towers.
Under the contract, the firm will install Hitachi elevators and escalators that include state-of the-art electronics. A total of 19 units will be installed in the project, including seven high-speed elevators that have flexible intelligence group control; three machine room-less elevators; and six escalators. Al Futtaim Engineering represents Hitachi in the UAE and won the contract in competitive tender.
Emirates Financial Towers is currently under construction in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). Comprising of two 26-storey towers, it is a mixed-use development that on completion will comprise residential and commercial spaces. It will also include an automatic car parking facility designed by USA-based Robotic Parking Systems. Al Qurq is carrying out the engineering consultancy work for the development.
