Dubai eGovernment is showcasing its recently launched ePay electronic payment system and ePermits technology for more efficient cargo handling, at GITEX Technology Week.

According to Salem Al Shair, director of e-services for Dubai eGovernment, the organisation's stand is also acting as a central hub for all government departments.

"GITEX is also an excellent platform to showcase our groundbreaking initiatives," he explains.

"Dubai has taken the lead in the region in deploying eGovernment applications and is among the first few governments in the world to provide such integrated services to its citizens.

The eGovernment portal (www.dubai.ae) is a single contact point masking the complexity of the bureaucratic procedures, and guiding access to all services in the easiest possible way."

The eGovernment portal provides access to more than 2000 eServices across all government departments.
