The 60-year-old reportedly became ill during the Jeddah-Cairo flight and died shortly before landing
An Egyptian woman has died on board a Saudi Arabian Airlines flight from Jeddah to Cairo, shortly before landing on Monday, Saudi Gazette reported.
The woman had developed complications related to her hepatic fibrosis condition during the flight.
Airport sources in Cairo said the control tower was notified by the pilot and an ambulance and a medical team were called before the plane landed.
A quarantine doctor examined the 60-year-old but pronounced her already dead.
