EIM takes payments online

Now you can pay your Internet access bill online through Emirates Internet and Multimedia and Comtrust. These two have teamed together to make your Internet experience a little more useful

Next time you are surfing the Web, you can stop by a new Emirates Internet & Multimedia (EIM) site and pay for your pleasures. The new service enables Emirates Internet users to pay their bills online, and has been put together in conjunction with Etisalat’s e-commerce division, Comtrust. It became effective last week. According to Maroua Naim, general manager, EIM, the new value-added service offers customers in the UAE the flexibility of paying their Internet bills from the comfort of their homes, while being assured of the integrity of their online transactions.“EIM is committed to bringing the latest Internet technologies A secure, robust, payment infrastructure is integral to any e-commerce venture. To this end, EIM has allied with Comtrust’s Online Payment Service, to create a payment gateway that guarantees complete confidentiality and security of all Business to Consumer (B2C) transactions made on http://www.emirates.net.ae,” she said.“Our online payment service offers capabilities for securing credit cards transaction processing by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology which is considered the best resource for transaction security today. Its flexible and modular design provides merchants a secure, easy to use gateway to acquire credit card payments over the Internet,” said Omran Sultan Al Owais, general manager, Comtrust.“When a customer wants to pay his Internet bill online and enters his Visa or MasterCard credit card number on http://www.emirates.net.ae, it securely connects to the Comtrust payment services. This system connects to the local acquiring bank in the UAE, which in turn connects, VISA and MasterCard worldwide, who authenticate the transaction. This entire process takes just a few seconds,” added Naim.
