Emaar Malls Group has opened Dubai Marina Mall to the public today, featuring a gross leasable area of 390,000 ft².
Emaar Malls Group, the shopping malls subsidiary of Emaar Properties, has opened its shopping and entertainment destination Dubai Marina Mall today.
With a gross leasable area of 390,000 ft², the mall will feature 160 retail outlets including a supermarket, fashion wear and accessory outlets, jewellers and boutiques.
With a waterfront location, the mall will offer indoor and al fresco dining options for visitors along an extensive promenade, set to open in early 2009.
Dubai Marina Mall features a distinctive architectural style with a circular atrium that makes utmost use of its waterfront location. The four-level mall has direct access from Sheikh Zayed Road through a purpose-built tunnel accessible from exit 32, Jebel Ali bound.
There is also direct access via Marina South Drive also via the Jebel Ali bound lanes. The mall has more than 2000 underground car parking spaces.

Dubai Marina Mall will further build on this concept, and offer a refreshing shopping and leisure destination for residents in and visitors to Dubai Marina," said Jim Badour, CEO, Emaar Malls Group.
Ian Ferguson, general manager at Dubai Marina Mall said the established community has several thousand residents and is located in close proximity to the commercial and hospitality hotspots of Dubai.
Retailers will continue to complete fitting-out operations in the run up to the Dubai Shopping Festival, and stores scheduled to open soon include the UAE's second Waitrose supermarket. The mall will also offer the 10,000ft² children's entertainment zone Favourite Things.
The majority of specialty stores will be open by early 2009 in time for Dubai Shopping Festival.
The Address, Dubai Marina hotel and serviced residences, adjoining the mall; a six-screen Cineplex and a seven-storey Gourmet Tower dedicated to diverse cuisines will be part of the mall complex and are scheduled to open during 2009.
