Emaar unveils plan for more Downtown Dubai luxury homes

Emaar Properties said on Tuesday it is launching two new residential towers connected by a podium in Downtown Dubai.

The developer announced plans to release BLVD Heights, which features 280 luxury one to three-bedroom apartments.

Sales will be held a first-come first-served basis on September 13 in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, Emaar said in a statement.

It added that in Asia, sales will also be launched on the same day in Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Singapore.

Online registration will commence in the UAE at 10am on September 10 at www.emaar.com.

Ahmad Al Matrooshi, managing director, Emaar Properties, said: "Demand for stylishly designed apartments in Downtown Dubai continues to be strong, led by its appeal as the world's most popular lifestyle destination.

"Homes in BLVD Heights will appeal to investors from around the world providing them a sought-after address in the heart of the city."

Emaar said interested investors and end-users can also skip the line and register for the programme even on the day of the launch. 'Skip the line' avoids the need for waiting in the regular queues for property purchases or early registrations.

Last month, Emaar reported a 28.6 percent rise in second-quarter net profit, marginally beating forecasts, but revenue from property sales in the emirate dropped.

The builder of the world's tallest tower Burj Khalifa made a net profit of AED868 million ($236.3 million) in the three months ending June 30, compared with AED675 million a year before. The outcome beat an average forecast of AED839.8 million for the period.
