Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC) has appointed Emcor Facilities Services (EFS) to provide facilities management services for the new National Exhibition Centre in Abu Dhabi.
The deal will ensure that all infrastructure, operations and maintenance services are successfully managed for the events due to take place at the centre during 2007.
"We are delighted to agree a deal with another of the world's leading venue service suppliers; this helps meet our objective of providing the National Exhibition Centre with the highest standards of quality in every aspect. Our alliance with EFS will provide a total lifecycle of care for the venue," said Simon Horgan, CEO, ADNEC.
The National Exhibition Centre is a key part of an extensive strategy aimed at strengthening Abu Dhabi's profile as a main destination for conferences and exhibitions.
"Many companies are appreciating the benefits that can be achieved by outsourcing their facilities management requirements, as this innovative approach reduces costs, enables the effective management of key employees and subcontractors, provides greater service and quality standards and assurances and essentially provides companies with a competitive advantage," said Scott Wilson, managing director, EFS.
"Abu Dhabi is becoming one of the Middle East's principal exhibition destinations and we look forward to providing first class service to the millions of visitors who will visit the venue in the next few years," he added.
