Dubai carrier to launch daily direct flights to the Danish capital on August 1
Dubai’s Emirates Airline has added Copenhagen as its 112th international route and will start operating flights to the Danish capital in August, it was announced on Thursday.
Emirates will start flying daily non-stop flights to Copenhagen from August 1 and will operate an Airbus A330-200 aircraft on the 6 hour 40 minute flight.
“Copenhagen is an important hub for the whole of Scandinavia and the launch of our non-stop service will open up a new market for Emirates. It will also offer Denmark’s businesses with easy connections to previously untapped markets,” said HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, chairman and CEO of Emirates Airline and Group.
Copenhagen will be the 112th city and 27th European destination Emirates operates and will be the third new route the Dubai based airline has announced for 2011. The other new routes will be Basra on February 2 and Geneva on June 1.For all the latest travel news from the UAE and Gulf countries, follow us on Twitter and Linkedin, like us on Facebook and subscribe to our YouTube page, which is updated daily.
