Cabin crew members found guilty of 'coercion to commit sin' after sending lewd messages - paper.
Two Emirates Airline staff members have been sentenced to three months in prison for sending each other sexy texts.
The cabin crew, both Indian, were found guilty of “coercion to commit sin”, but there was not enough evidence to convict them of having an affair, court documents released on Tuesday showed.
According to a report in the National, RS, 42, and EB, 47, were originally sentenced to six months in jail followed by deportation, but this was reduced to three month terms by the Appeals Court.
RS’s sister, BM, 25, was found guilt of perjury and jailed for three months for claiming she had sent the lewd messages.
The sexy text were discovered by RS’s husband after he got a court order for Etisalat to release copies of his wife’s phone messages. The pair had been going through bitter divorce proceedings over her alleged affair with her colleague.
