Emirates flight forced to return to Dubai due to 'medical situation'

An Emirates flight from Dubai to Budapest was forced to turn back this morning following an on-board medical situation.

The 8.20am flight left Dubai this morning, but about 90 minutes into the flight the pilot was forced to return the aircraft owning to a medical emergency, according to a statement from Emirates.

“Emirates flight EK111 from Dubai to Budapest on 19 March returned to Dubai due to a medical situation,” said a spokesperson.

“The aircraft is scheduled to leave for Budapest at 13:00 and is expected to land in Budapest at 15:35 local time. Emirates apologises for any inconvenience. The safety of our passengers and crew is of paramount importance,” the spokesperson added.
