Emirates launches fare discounts across global network

Dubai airline announces special offers on bookings made before Jan 18 for travel until Nov 30

Emirates launches fare discounts across global network

Emirates Airline has launched discounted fares across its global network to encourage travellers to explore new destinations in 2016.

The Dubai-based airline said it has special offers on business and economy class fares on bookings made until January 18, for travel until November 30.

In a statement, the carrier said all inclusive economy class fares from Dubai to Middle East and Asian destinations start at AED615 ($167) to Muscat, AED935 to Karachi, AED1,025 to Mumbai, AED2,205 to Manila and AED2,245 to Kuala Lumpur.

Emirates did not reveal the percentage discount on any of these offers.

As part of the sale, economy class fares to European cities like Munich start at AED2,625, Barcelona at AED2,815, Paris at AED3,695 and fares to North and Central American cities like Los Angeles start at AED4,945 and Panama City at AED6,345.

“We know that many people have begun thinking about their travel plans and aspirations for 2016, and we are pleased to add a little more inspiration and incentive to help turn those plans and dreams into reality,” said Thierry Antinori, Emirates’ executive vice president and chief commercial officer.

“Our global destination network across six continents offers something for every traveller, and we are now combining that wide range of travel choices with special rates to offer would-be travellers with an even more appealing value proposition.”

Emirates flies to over 140 cities in 80 countries and will commence flights to Panama City on February 1, opening the airline’s first gateway destination in Central America. Emirates will also expand its services in mainland China with flights to Yinchuan and Zhengzhou from May 3.

Its really wonderful to know that Emirates cares for the everyday person with these great discounts. Not all of us are rich enough to fly as much as we want to. I have family in Cape Town SA and in North America. I was very lucky to get a good deal on a flight to Cape Town next month, and Emirates has always been my favourite Airline, but not always my favourite price. Thank-you once again, I am looking forward to my flight, and can hopefully make good use of your new discounts.
