Emirates Post has issued a set of stamps to commemorate major projects by President HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The national railway network Etihad Rail, Masdar City, which aims to be the world’s most sustainable eco-city, Shams 1 Solar Power Plant and Khalifa Port, are the featured projects.

"Emirates Post Group is honoured to issue these stamps that celebrate four of the most significant projects undertaken by the UAE under the vision of the President Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan," chief commercial officer Ibrahim bin Karam said in a statement carried by the official news agency WAM.

"Each of these projects has a strong historical significance and herald a big leap for the UAE in four different fields. We are pleased to preserve these projects for posterity through these stamps that will carry their legacy to the whole world."

The stamps are each sold for AED1, in four different designs. They are available in all post offices in sheets of 16 stamps.
