Empost upgrades fleet technology system

Empost has equipped its fleet of delivery vehicles with a state-of-the-art navigation system.

Empost has equipped its fleet of delivery cars and motorcycles with a state-of-the-art navigation system, aimed at reinforcing the company's development programme in the United Arab Emirates.

The system, which is currently being piloted on 100 cars and 60 motorcycles, will eventually be implemented on Empost's entire delivery fleet, according to chief executive officer Sultan Al Midfa.

"As Empost is committed to providing quality and value-added services to all our customers, we are continuously upgrading systems and introducing innovative features. Our courier vehicles are now equipped with the latest wireless communication technologies such as the satellite-based navigation system GPS and other tracking systems," he said.

"The launch of the hi-tech navigation system is a step towards revamping the infrastructure and facilities at Empost, and reaffirms our unique capability of offering quick distribution solutions. As a local courier company we are always benchmarked by our innovation and refinement of services in this highly competitive market."
