ETA signs $227mn deal with Qatar Electricity

Firm to install electric power cables, part of Qatar's electricity expansion project.

ETA Star International has signed a $227 million deal with the Qatar General Electricity and Water Corp. for the eighth phase of Qatar’ electricity expansion project, the firm said on Wednesday.

The subsidiary of Dubai-based ETA Ascon Star Group signed the contract for the installation of electric power cables in various parts of Doha, Qatar, ETA Star said in a statement.

The company said it had previously installed over 13,000km of cables throughout the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain and other countries.
