Etihad Holidays says "I do"

The airline's new 'Romantic Escapes' ad campaign targets couples and honeymooners.

Love is in the air at Etihad Holidays, which has created a number of special wedding and honeymoon escapes ahead of the marrying season.

A radio and print campaign plugging deals to romantic hotspots such as France, Malaysia, Thailand and Switzerland was launched in March in time for the Abu Dhabi Bride Show and continue this month as the Dubai instalment takes place from April 10-13.

Flyers promoting these ‘Romantic Escapes' - with lead-in prices starting from AED 6100 (US $) per couple for three nights at the Banyan Tree Bangkok, including return airfares and in many cases, transfers and added value honeymoon extras - are currently being distributed to travel agents across the UAE.

"We are targeting both the Arab and the ex-pat market with these honeymoon offers, which we are promoting just ahead of the busy wedding and honeymoon season," explained Nick Wood, general manager, Etihad Holidays.

"Arab nationals tend to get married locally and then increasingly honeymoon overseas, while many ex-pats get married abroad and combine the wedding with the honeymoon, so we are catering to both."

Lead-in prices per couple to France start from AED 8380 ($2282), to Malaysia, from AED 10,750 ($2928) and to Switzerland, AED 12,300 ($3350).

All adverts suggest that customers contact their local travel agent or visit the bride shows to enter a prize draw to win a honeymoon holiday a the five-star Saman Villas in Sri Lanka.
