Etihad says delays still likely on New York, Washington DC flights

Abu Dhabi airline says its airport teams are assisting guests affected by the delays caused by storm Jonas

Etihad says delays still likely on New York, Washington DC flights

Etihad Airways said on Monday that delays on flights to the United States were still likely in the aftermath of storm Jonas which brought heavy snow to the Eastern Seaboard.

In an operational update, the Abu Dhabi airline said flights EY131 and EY130 to and from Washington DC are scheduled to operate as normal but delays may occur.

The double daily services from Abu Dhabi to New York JFK were resumed on Sunday, but the following flights from New York to Abu Dhabi will experience significant delays to their departures, Etihad said.

EY102 NEW YORK JFK - ABU DHABI which was scheduled to depart on January 24 will now depart on January 25 at 6am local time.

EY102 NEW YORK JFK - ABU DHABI which is scheduled to depart on January 25 will also experience a delay due to crew duty limitations and will now depart on Tuesday at 12.05am local time.

Etihad Airways said airport teams are assisting guests affected by the delay of these flights.

Guests booked to travel on Etihad Airways from Abu Dhabi to and from New York and Washington DC should call the Etihad Airways Contact Centre for updated information on +971 (0) 2599 0000.

"The safety and comfort of its guests is Etihad Airways' paramount concern and it regrets any inconvenience caused by this unavoidable weather-related disruption," the airline added.
