UAE’s national airline targets SMEs with extended loyalty programme

Etihad targets SMEs
Etihad has extended its BusinessConnect loyalty programme to eleven new markets.

Etihad Airways has extended its BusinessConnect loyalty
programme to eleven new markets, offering benefits to small and medium sized
enterprises (SMEs).

The mileage earning programme rewards businesses which fly
frequently with Etihad, with registered BusinessConnect customers earning
Etihad Guest Miles every time one of their employees takes a flight.

The programme has been extended to include Bahrain, Belarus,
Kuwait, Lebanon, Malaysia, Nepal, the Netherlands, Oman, the Philippines, Qatar
and Thailand.

Guest Miles can be redeemed against upgrades, free flights,
or thousands of products from the Etihad Guest Reward Shop, or converted to
cash via PointsPay to spend at 30 million outlets worldwide.

Eithad Airways’ chief commercial officer, Peter Baumgartner,
said: “BusinessConnect is the smartest and most rewarding loyalty scheme for
SMEs.

“It’s a fantastic way for companies to optimise their travel
spend whilst adding convenience and value to the business and corporate travel
experience. In short, it makes business sense all round.”
